Do I Need Single or Double Sided Yard Signs?

Choose double-sided when

• The sign sits on a corner lot. Traffic comes from two streets and a blank white back is a wasted impression.
• It is a directional sign. Open house arrows and event wayfinding get read by cars going both ways.
• It stands perpendicular to the road. A sign angled into a lane is seen edge-on from one side unless both faces print.
• It is placed on a median or island with traffic passing on both sides.

Stay single-sided when

• The sign backs onto a building, fence or hedge. Nobody will ever see the reverse.
• It faces one direction of a one-way street.
• It is a window or interior sign.
• You are buying in bulk for a campaign and every dollar counts across hundreds of units.

What the two actually mean

Single-sided is a 4/0 print: full color on the front, plain white coroplast on the back. Double-sided is 4/4 — the same artwork printed on both faces. It is not a different material or a thicker panel, just a second pass of ink.

One thing worth knowing: on a double-sided sign both faces normally carry the same artwork. If you want different artwork front and back — an arrow pointing left on one side and right on the other, for instance — say so in the order notes and send two files.

The practical answer

For most real estate and event use, double-sided is worth the $30. You are already paying for printing, shipping and stakes; the second face is the cheapest additional visibility in the whole order. For large campaign runs where signs line one side of a road, single-sided is the sensible economy.
