Signs for Pressure Washing

The clean driveway is the ad. The sign says who did it.

A before-and-after nobody can argue with, sitting in a front yard on a street where everyone else has the same driveway. Ten signs for $95 with stakes, shipped free.

A designer proofs your artwork within 2–4 hours and nothing prints until you approve it.

Why this trade sells itself better than most

Pressure washing has an advantage almost no other trade has: the result is visible from the road, immediately, and the contrast with the house next door is obvious. A neighbour who would never notice a new roof will absolutely notice that one driveway on the street is suddenly two shades lighter. The sign is what turns that into a phone call instead of a passing thought.

Leave it up for two or three days after you finish. That is long enough for the whole street to drive past it twice and for the weekend walkers to read it properly. Ten signs covers a rotation of three or four jobs a week with spares for the ones that go missing — and some always go missing.

Keep the sign brutally simple. Company name, "Driveway & House Washing", phone number. That is it. The temptation is to list every service and a website and a QR code; at 25 mph none of it reads. The phone number is the only thing that has to be legible from across the street.

A typical first order

A one-truck operation getting started

Enough signs to run a full week of jobs, plus the truck.

10 double-sided yard signs with steel stakes$125
Set of 2 truck-door magnets, 24x12$95
FedEx Ground shippingFree
Total, shipped$220

Double-sided is worth the $30 here. A driveway sign gets read by traffic going both ways, unlike a directional at a corner where everyone approaches from one side.

Questions we get from pressure washing crews

How many signs should I order to start?
Ten. That covers three or four jobs a week with spares, and it costs $95. Most crews come back for 25 within two months once they see the call rate — but there is no reason to buy 25 before you know your own numbers. We have no minimum and no setup fee, so starting at ten costs you nothing extra later.
Will the sign survive being left out in the rain?
Yes. It is 4 mm corrugated plastic with UV-cured ink — the same board used for political signs that sit out for a whole election season. Rain, sun and sprinklers do not affect it. What kills yard signs is lawnmowers and people, not weather.
Can I put a before-and-after photo on it?
You can, and it works well if the photo is high contrast and takes up most of the sign. It does not work if it is a small photo squeezed next to a lot of text. Send us what you have and we will lay it out and show you a proof before anything prints — if the photo is too low-resolution to hold up at 24 inches, we will tell you straight.
Do I need a permit to put a sign in a customer’s yard?
On private property with the homeowner’s permission, almost always no. In the public right-of-way — the strip between the pavement and the road — many towns say no and will remove them. Ask the customer before you place it, and keep it on their lawn rather than the verge.

Ready when you are, and nothing prints until you say so.
